How can I trust that my Vault is in Optimal Condition?

Thorough Inspection

All vaults undergo a thorough visual inspection for defects, including checks for physical damage, blemishes, or imperfections in the chassis. Any refurbished vaults with imperfections will have damage replaced to maintain a like-new appearance.

Thermal Check

A CPU stress test involves pushing all cores to 100% load to monitor temperature fluctuations, ensuring they remain stable and within safe limits.

Extended CPU Stress Test

An extended CPU test is conducted to verify long-term stability and performance. Additionally, a multi-core read/write stress test is performed.

Memory Test

A RAM memory test is conducted, which includes:

  • Checking a computer's memory for errors by running a series of diagnostic tests to identify faulty RAM modules.
  • Testing different levels of CPU cache by stressing them with data patterns to detect cache-related issues alongside memory errors.

12-Hour Bench Test Suite

All vaults must pass a rigorous 12-hour bench test suite before being certified for resale. This suite includes a combination of the above tests and additional checks to guarantee the highest quality and reliability.

How do I know my Vault is Secure?

coreboot

  • All Vaults will be reflashed to coreboot to ensure maximum data security.
  • Vault Pro units will include advanced coreboot versions, including Measured boot, Verified boot and Secure boot.

Triple Zeroed SSDs

Preconfigured Vaults will come with an SSD that has been triple zeroed. Rest easy knowing that your drive will be completely empty and ready to use right out of the box.

Wiped eMMC (VP & V Series)

If your vault comes with a Samsung eMMC (VP series and V series only), the eMMC will be completely erased, except for 2 necessary boot partitions.

TPMs (VP Series)

Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) are available for purchase for only the VP series.
